President Bush is backing a plan to help reduce the amount of airline delays in the country by having carriers reduce their flights at certain peak times. Northwestern University aviation analyst Aaron Gellman is opposed to that idea.

Ian Savage comments on railroad fatalities
An elderly Chicago man is dead after his car was hit this week by a commuter train at a crossing, marking the latest in a number of train-pedestrian incidents. Northwestern University transportation economist Ian Savage says a little less than 1,000 people are killed on the nation’s rails every year, with around 500 of those coming as a result of trespassing, and between 300 and 400 coming as a result of incidents at grade crossings.
