Gala Reception and Dinner

The Gala Reception and Dinner will be held at the Woman's Club of Evanston (map). There is no special parking lot for the Woman's Club. Street parking in Evanston is extremely limited and is mostly metered ($1 per hour, free after 9pm; coins only for many meters). Attendees have the following options for paid parking lots:

  • Evanston Public Library Surface Lot (map) - This metered public parking lot, directly behind the Woman's Club, is accessible from Church Street or Orrington Avenue. Rates are $1 per hour (free after 9pm)—coins only.
  • City of Evanston Church Street Self-Park Garage (map) - This public self-park garage, open 24 hours a day, is located at the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Church Street, across the street from the Woman's Club. Rates are $1 per hour for up to 6 hours or $13 per day. 
  • City of Evanston Sherman Plaza Self-Park Garage (map) - This public self-park garage, open 24 hours a day, is located at the intersection of Davis Street and Benson Avenue, approximately four blocks from the Woman's Club. Rates are $1 per hour for up to 6 hours or $13 per day.
  • City of Evanston Maple Avenue Self-Park Garage (map) - This public self-park garage, open 24 hours a day, is located at the intersection of Clark Street and Maple Avenue, approximately five blocks from the Woman's Club. Rates are $1 per hour for up to 6 hours or $13 per day.

Transportation Summit

The Transportation Summit will be held at the James L. Allen Center's Tribune Auditorium (map). Parking will be available at the new North Beach Lot, located on Campus Drive between Lincoln Street and Tech Drive on the East side of campus (map). Please note: parking passes are REQUIRED to park in this lot; your car will be ticketed if it does not display a guest pass.

NUTC students will be stationed at the entrance to this parking lots to give out parking passes to Summit attendees. Please make sure to pick up a parking pass prior to parking in the North Beach Lot or any Northwestern Unversity parking lot. Please also ensure that you scratch off the date on the parking permit before hanging on your rear-view mirror.
