TC Research Coordinator Rebecca Weaver-Gill Instrumental in Establishment of NU Research Administration Professionals (NURAP)

October 2009

The Transportation Center’s research coordinator, Rebecca Weaver-Gill, was instrumental in the establishment of a university-wide group of administrative research professionals – NURAP (NU Research Administrative Professionals). The group brings together NU staff from across the university with the aim of improving institutional cohesiveness in research administration and fostering professional excellence among its members.

NURAP endeavors to promote collaboration among the professional support staff serving NU departments, divisions, centers, schools and the central administration. This staff support group has been recognized and endorsed by the University Office of Research as an important resource contributing to the more efficient and timely management of research contracts and grants.

Ms. Weaver-Gill, who serves on the NURAP steering committee, has been research coordinator with the Transportation Center since September 2007.  She draws from over twelve years of administrative experience, with a primary focus on high education and academic research.   Ms. Weaver-Gill has provided full cycle contract and grants administration at the University of Maryland, as well as the University of California system before joining Northwestern.
