Manager of Operations and Analysis

Responsibilities:
• Design, assess, pilot and implement cost saving programs, strategies and productivity initiatives
• Evaluation of cost, productivity, and performance programs and complex and/or confidential initiatives including: Background research and analysis of business systems, other companies and vendors as needed to develop a project. Preparation of financial and business evaluation cases for feasibility, financial improvement and strategic fit
• Regular development and presentation of project progress to executive and senior executive management for approval and evaluation.
• Development of project plans for testing and implementation.
• Assessment of operational and technological opportunities
• Project management to implement the defined program(s) and track success.
• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to department staff. May also oversee the day-to-day operations including initiating and communicating a variety of personnel actions (e.g. performance and salary reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.)

 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required in engineering, business, accounting, engineering or a related field. MBA is preferred. Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and statistics is acceptable in lieu of business degrees.
• Minimum 7-10 years experience in operations or consulting that supported distribution or large field organizations is preferred.
• Experience with complex business initiatives and opportunities
• Comprehension of organizational, business processes and business strategy
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
• Experience in six sigma, lean manufacturing, supply chain redesign, logistics network design, operational benchmarking, etc helpful.
• Must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communications skills. Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service oriented attitude.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Access. Familiarity with Oracle or similar database system and reporting software such as Business Objects is a plus.
• Estimated travel is 20-30%


Salary $75,000 - $85,000 base
