VP of Inventory - The SearchLogix Group
Responsibilities:
The Vice President will be responsible for defining and implementing
a strategic inventory planning, allocation and replenishment program
that ensures high levels of in-stock while maximizing inventory productivity.
He/She will oversee all aspects of inventory management to include forecasting,
assortment planning, allocation and replenishment with an annual budget
of over $200 million in inventory.
• Must be capable of working seamlessly across various functional
areas
• A strong alliance with the merchandising and operations group
to ensure that category management goals are clearly defined and executed
through the entire product cycle
• Ability to establish support and credibility with others, and
be receptive to challenges and debates surrounding merchandising and
inventory concepts
• Requires a strong track record in team building, both internally
and in the retail industry
• Will be responsible for leading a re-engineering effort to design,
develop and implement an automated centralized replenishment and forecasting
system and related processes
• Work closely with the CMO teams to drive sales, margin and inventory
productivity
• Lead the CMO organization in developing appropriate measures
and processes to ensure execution and continuous productivity gains.
• Provide transformational and proactive leadership to maintain
a positive business climate that motivates the entire inventory team
• Serve as an effective advocate for change and growth; recruit,
train and develop leaders in the inventory function
Education/Qualifications:
• BS/BA degree required, MBA preferred
• 15+ years of relevant supply chain experience with a strong
knowledge and appreciation of sophisticated merchandising planning and
replenishment principals
• Technical expertise should include selection and implementation
of forecasting and replenishment systems and related processes
• Candidate will have experience with ERP and Best of Breed system
implementations
• Experience with international product sourcing and planogram
based replenishment is desired
• Proven track record of improving inventory productivity and
overall SKU profitability while maintaining high service levels in shelf
in-stocks
• Experience with implementing open to buy inventory plans at
the category level and creating accurate SKU forecasts is required
• Experience in implementing CPFR systems with key vendors such
as vendor owned inventory, scanned based trading and vendor managed
inventory
• Demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively across multi-functional
teams
Salary: $220K base PLUS!! Executive package!
