VP of Distribution - The SearchLogix Group
Responsibilities:
The VP of Distribution will administer all aspects of the company’s
distribution strategy and operations. He/She will also develop distribution
processes in order to ensure excellent customer service performance,
process optimization, and compliance with established standards and
regulations.
Basic Responsibilities:
• Leads the development of distribution strategy, formulation
of action plans, and implementation of initiatives that result in excellent
customer service performance.
• Streamlines and standardizes the processes supporting distribution
operations. Leads the development of the information systems supporting:
customer service; distribution requirements planning; finished goods
inventory management; and warehouse operations.
• Directly manages the supply relationships with various major
customers.
• Manages the operating plan, budget and personnel in customer
service operations, distribution requirements planning, finished goods
inventory control, warehouse operations, and transportation
• Defines and develops the critical performance metrics required
to control processes, measure performance, and guide corrective action.
Education/Qualifications:
• Bachelor in Business Administration required.
• MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of distribution management experience, showing
a progression of achievement to executive management. Preferred experience
in planning and distribution of finished products in one or more of
the following market segments: automotive aftermarket, automotive OEM,
industrial supply, and/or institutional/janitorial supply with a customer
base including, or similar to, the companies outlined above.
• Basic understanding of the regulations associated with the distribution
of specialty chemical products, particularly aerosols.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• APICS Certification.
